ENGLISH EASSAY SPM

Accident
The sun was shining blazingly on the sky. I was feeling warm and decided to go for a swim with my family. We walked to the swimming pool. The swimming pool was across the road from the building where I stayed .mean while, I saw that my best friend Tom was also going there at the same time. So, We went there together. On the way, I was very happy because I saw that many  trees and flowers which were very beautiful and captivating.
Suddenly, I saw an accident that happens right in front of my sight. A man got lost control of his car when on of the tires got burst then the car hit a big rock. After that the car drifted to right and flipped over three times. The impact of the accident had plunged two children out of the car. . I was so scared that I screamed.
The second time the car rolled over I thought it was his last moment of life but by the Grace of God when the car stopped rolling. It stood still. The man crawled out of the car. He pulled his youngest child out from the car.  Then they went far away from the car in case it explodes. The car driver, who was cut by the flying glass, was in a state of shock. All that happened in split second and fear overwhelmed us. It was very horrible. The scene that greeted us was something I would never forget. It left an indelible imprint in my mind to date
At that critical moment, my father instantly held out his phone to inform the police and the hospital. While waiting for my father, I tried as best as possible to help the injured man and his children. My father told me, the man was seriously wounded. He sustained injuries to his head and face. His nose was bleeding and one of his children broke her hand. The other broke her leg. The youngest child was lucky because he only had some scratches.
Soon, the police and an ambulance arrived .The ambulance sent the injured man and his children to the nearby hospital. The police promptly took some measurements and evidence. After that they moved the damaged to the roadside to ease the traffic congestion. They also took down the evidence provided by witnesses and onlookers. Some sweepers were clearing the debris and the blood stains on the road.
My family and I had went to the hospital to visit them. The injured man was placed in intensive care unit for further intensive treatment as he suffered great injuries. The children were sent to the children’s ward..Meanwhile, the hospital managed to contact the man’s wife. The youngest child kept crying. father as they. The Poor little children who were starting missed their mother cried even more. Soon, the children’s mother came and calmed down her children. She was very grateful to my family and me for saving her husband and the children.
After the accident when we came back home and everything seemed okay I sat back and thought that why it happened and my family and I also realized that the accident could have been prevented if the drivers had been more careful. I learned a good lesson that impatience and recklessness would bring harm and danger. Since then I remember and follow the saying ‘more haste less speed’ and ‘prevention is better than cure’. I believe good road manners and roads safety campaigns can help to reduce the number of road accidents which cause injuries, loss and lives and properties. I would never forget today’s tragedy. It was a narrow escape for the car driver and his children.
